Primary Health Center Hazrathbal / Block Head Quarters.

Location

The health Center provides Primary health care to the Area around the famous Hazrathbal Shrine and other adjoining localities. It is located at a stones throw from the huge campus of Kashmir University and around half a kilometer from the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar (Erstwhile Regional Engineering College Srinagar).

Food Inspector.
X-ray Technician.
Plus other technicians and Driver.

Service provided to the Patients.

General OPD manned by the Medical Officers.
Gynae OPD manned by the Lady Medical Officers.
Dental Section manned by the Dental Surgeon.
X-ray, ECG Services.
Vision Tests and other basic investigations.
Lab Investigations.
Sanitation of the Hazrathbal Shrine and adjoining area.
Licensing of Food Joints by the food inspector.
Active Immunization against all the 6 diseases covered under Universal Immunization Programme.
Treatment of Tuberculosis according to RNTCP using the DOTS Regimen.
PMA (Leprosy).
Some Medicines are provided free of cost.
Some Medicines are provided free of cost.
Ambulance Services.

Medical Education.
Every Intern of Government Medical College Srinagar has to visit the hospital for a duration of 2-3 weeks as according to the roster. The Health Centre Comes under the department of Social and Preventive Medicine and is a part of the Urban Posting.
